Dans l’essence et dans l’aspect de ce pays, il existe un passé historique remarquable et un équilibre frappant entre l’ancien et le moderne. Grâce à l’accès rapide au glacier Indren, accessible en seulement trois remontées mécaniques en toutes saisons, Gressoney est le paradis du freeride, dans une position centrale du domaine skiable principal, entre Valsesia et Vallée d’Ayas. Parmi les pistes disponibles, les sentiers battus pour le ski de randonnée et la raquette valent le détour, pour ceux qui veulent s’entraîner ou tenter une expérience à contre-courant. En été, le pays s'anime de soirées évocatrices et engageantes, profondément enracinées dans une tradition séculaire, mais toujours très vivantes.
